Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen hoped that the G7 countries will help build infrastructures in Cambodia as the G7 countries have launched a Build Back Better World (B3W) initiative.

The premier spoke at the inauguration ceremony of Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar on Tuesday at Kompong Cham Province.

The G7 members are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.

“I hoped that the ASEAN and the G7 foreign ministers will assist Cambodia through various infrastructure projects. Here [Cambodia-China Friendship Bridge Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar] is undertaken under the framework of Cambodia-China cooperation and uner the China’s Belt and Road Initiative. We also welcome other projects, including the B3W,” the premier underlined.

Samdech added that Cambodia always welcomes projects and assistances from other countries that help build the kingdom’s infrastructures.

Cambodia does not depend solely on China, the premier underlined.
