Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 15 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia) commemorated its 25th anniversary to promote trade and investment development between Cambodia and the United States, held on 14 December 2021 at the Raffle Le Royal Hotel.

The ceremony was attended by first vice-president of the Mine Authority Ly Thuch, member of parliament and president of union of youth Hun Many, minister of public works and transport Sun Chanthol, health ministry's secretary of state Or Vandine, and other distinguished guests.

On that occasion, AmCham president Anthony Galliano welcomed the 150 participants and said that AmCham celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021 with one of the strongest years in AmCham history.

AmCham executive director Travis Mitchell highlighted AmCham’s major achievements in 2021, including growing the membership 45% and hosting over 50 events throughout the year, even with the challenges of COVID19.

Hun Many gave special remarks, and the AmCham Board presented a token of appreciation to Hun Many in recognition of his commitment and dedication to Cambodian youth and his superb efforts on promoting sustainable development.

Minister Sun Chanthol highlighted American business in Cambodia, where he encouraged American companies to invest more and provide more feedback and recommendations, as the Ministry of Public Works and Transport value their voices in crafting their policies. The Board then offered a token of appreciation to minister in recognition of his cooperation for promoting business ties between Cambodia and the US.

Secretary of state Or Vandine received a token of appreciation in recognition of her dedication and diligent work in managing the COVID19 crisis in Cambodia.
