Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 17 – Cambodia detected the second case of COVID19 Omicron variant on a 25-year-old an Iranian man who returned from Kenya, according to Health Ministry’s press release seen by Fresh News on Friday.

The patient stays in Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh. He flew from Kenya to Dubai, then to Thailand, and lastly arrived in Cambodia on 16 December 2021.

He is currently being treated at the National Center for Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia detected the first case of Omicron variant on a 23-year-old Cambodian woman, who returned home from work in Ghana and she is currently being treated at the center.

The Ministry of Health called on people to strictly adhere to health measures.
