Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 4 – Phnom Penh Capital Hall warned of legal actions against NagaWorld protesters who refused to test for COVID19, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Friday.

Representative of illegal protester Chuob Channath requested to take the COVID19 test at the actual protest site. However, when the medical team arrived, the protesters were stubborn and refused to take the test.

Cambodian Ministry of Health called on NagaWorld protesters to test for COVID19 as the ministry detected one positive case of COVID19 Omicron variant on a pregnant woman, who was involved in illegal protest. Therefore, the ministry called on protesters to test for COVID19 in order to prevent the community transmission.

Authority urged to immediately stop the protest. The Ministry of Health warned that those who do not adhere to the health measures will be punished.
