Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 24 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen called for dialogue and a peaceful solution to the Russia-Ukraine crisis, speaking in a joint press conference with Malaysian prime minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob on Thursday at the Peace Palace Phnom Penh.

The appeal was made following Russian president Vladimir Putin’s announcement on special operation in the Donbass region after Moscow recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk breakaway republics in the Donbass.

Premier Hun Sen added that even though Cambodia is a small country and far away from the conflict region, such major international issues should always be discussed among the state leaders.

According to the premier, the Russia-Ukraine crisis requires dialogue and a peaceful solution.
