Phnom Penh (FN), May 12 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reiterated his satisfaction with the national revenue collected by the General Department of Taxation, which has so far achieved 53% of the 2022 target.

The premier spoke in a meeting with the Cambodian community in the United States and Canada on Thursday.

“It is interesting that a small country like us earned more than USD 2 billion in tax revenue thanks to the reopening of socio-economic activities,” the premier underlined.

The Royal Government of Cambodia has spent approximately USD 40 million monthly to help 700,000 vulnerable households.
