Phnom Penh (FN), May 18 – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Cambodia for supporting India's bid to become a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council under the new reform framework.
Modi held a talk with premier Hun Sen on Wednesday via video conference.
UN reform has been strongly discussed and pushed by four new powers, including India, which aspire to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council after being elected as non-permanent members.
Modi expressed his support to Cambodia as chair of ASEAN, supports ASEAN centrality and internal unity, and reiterates his commitment to solving Ukraine and Russia issue.
