Siem Reap (FN), Oct. 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced that all people living in the Run Ta Ek area will receive benefits of poor household from the Royal Government, regardless of their living conditions.

The premier spoke during a meeting with residents who voluntarily relocated from the Angkor area, held on Saturday morning (Oct 1) in Siem Reap province.

"I must be responsible for my people who volunteered to move to Run Ta Ek area,” the premier underlined.

The premier also ordered the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Planning to take immediate actions, as nearly 8,000 families have been relocated to Run Ta Ek village.
