Siem Reap (FN), Oct. 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, head of Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), said that the CPP-led government has been implementing a cash support program to nearly 3 million Cambodian people.

The premier spoke during a meeting with residents who voluntarily relocated from the Angkor area, held on Saturday morning (Oct 1) in Siem Reap province.

Samdech continued, the Royal Government has spent more than USD 800 million since the beginning of the implementation of the cash support program for poor and vulnerable households during the COVID19 pandemic from June 2020 to September 2022.

“I would like to confirm that the CPP will not promise any monetary benefit in the upcoming election as the CPP has been doing that for years. The elderly, the children, and the pregnant women are among the 700,000 families who have received the benefits,” the premier underlined.
