Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 14 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and Bruneian king Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah had a Bilateral Summit Meeting at the Peace Palace on Monday (Nov 14).

After concluding the 2022 ASEAN Summits and Related Summit, Bruneian king kicked off his state visit to Cambodia.

Bruneian king paid a royal audience with Cambodian king Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace.

The Sultan also laid wreathes at the Monument of Independence and the Royal Memorial Statue of Cambodian late king father Norodom Sihanouk.

The Sultan and premier Hun Sen also presided over the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two governments on Bilateral Consultations.

After this meeting, the Sultan will attend a banquet hosted by the King.

The state visit of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah occurs as the two countries celebrate this year the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations.
