Kampong Speu (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen continued to call on people to respect traffic laws and not be afraid of traffic police, but to be afraid of death or injury.

The premier spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction and upgrade of National Road No. 41 at Kampong Speu Province on Monday morning (Dec. 26).

Currently, the kingdom’s road infrastructure has made it easier for people to travel, but accidents happen every day, the premier said.

Five Cambodian people die on average per day due to traffic accidents. Yesterday (Dec. 25), seven traffic accidents were reported with one person killed and 11 injured, according to the ministry's report quoted by the premier.
