Battambang (FN), Jan. 26 – Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc. inaugurated its newest branch in Battambang with the aim of bringing state-of-the-art banking products and services to facilitate communities in the northwestern province of Cambodia.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Thursday, presided over by the director general of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) Rath Sovannorak, deputy governor of Battambang Moul Thun, chairman of the Board of Directors of Wing Bank and CEO of Royal Group tycoon Kith Meng, as well as many other dignitaries.
Thun congratulated Wing Bank as it will provide fast, convenient and secure banking services for the people of Battambang. He added that the branch will contribute to increasing the national economy and the economy of the people.
Sovannorak said that the NBC, as the regulatory authority, continues to introduce a precautionary regulatory framework, strengthens the payment system infrastructure, and pays attention to the framework of customer protection.
"We have always considered Battambang a priority province in expanding our geographical location for our business," said Han Peng Kwang, CEO of Wing Bank. “Not only that, Battambang is a large and potential province in Cambodia. I am very happy that our bank is here.”
He said that Wing Bank offers a wide range of modern financial products and services, including loans, deposits, micro-savings, credit advice, money transfer, utility bills and insurance, payment for supply chain and payroll services.
Kwang added that the opening ceremony of Wing Bank branch in Battambang today clearly reflects Wing Bank's efforts and strong commitment to bring the best banking services to contribute to growth of our community.
Less than two years after Wing Bank received its commercial banking license, it has expanded its banking network to eight strategic locations across the country. Its headquarters are located on Monivong Blvd. in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang III, Phnom Penh, Kwang added.
Kwang recalled that in 2022, Wing Bank opened several branches to meet the financial needs of the people in the community, including branches of the Independence Monument, Sen Sok, Wat Phnom, Toul Kork, Boeung Trabek and Preah Yukunthor, where all these branches are located in Phnom Penh and the other branch is in Sihanoukville.
