Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 15 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that while the COVID19 crisis has yet ended, the emergence of superpowers' competition has severely affected the world order.

The premier spoke at the opening ceremony of the 5th Asia-Pacific Community-based Inclusive Development Congress, held on Wednesday (Mar 15) at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

The current challenges of public health, economy, and geopolitics have been seriously affecting people's lives, especially the disabled and the vulnerable, the premier underlined.

Samdech continued, in order to solve these global challenges, mutual respect and trust, respect for the UN charter and principles, as well as promoting the implementation of international mechanisms are vital solutions.

Through Cambodia's bitter history, we can say that war cannot end with war. Only peaceful settlement of conflicts through dialogue and consultation can achieve peace, the premier added.
