Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 21 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen allowed a former opposition activist Yim Sinan to pay a courtesy call on Friday evening (Apr 21), and gave him many recommendations.

The meeting took place after Yim Sinan posted on his Facebook on Friday morning respectfully requesting to join Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

The meeting lasted for more than two hours at the premier’s residence in Takhmao City, Kandal province.

Premier Hun Sen allowed Fresh News chief executive officer Lim Chea Vutha to facilitate and bring Yim Sinan and his family to meet Samdech.

Sinan has been placed under investigation for "insulting the king". He was arrested on the evening of 21 March 2023 by the Phnom Penh after sharing distorted news related to the king on social media.
