Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that he had never dreamt of becoming prime minister, speaking on Thursday (Apr 27) at the opening of new training courses in 2023 of the Royal School of Administration.

"I think we can compete in sports games such as football, volleyball, golf, or any other games, but we cannot compete with destiny. I have never wanted to become a district governor, provincial governor, minister, and prime minister. I actually wanted to become a teacher. Unexpectedly, I have become a prime minister for almost four decades,” the premier underscored.

On the occasion, Samdech continued that in the past, 80 per cent of his dreams were not of a prime minister, but only of a farmer or a soldier in a state of fear.

In the 44 years of Samdech's political life, Samdech has broken world records for the youngest foreign minister, the youngest prime minister, and the longest-serving prime minister.
