Phnom Penh (FN), May 11 – The Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, an Alberta (Canada) International  accredited school and International Baccalaureate World School, is soon accepting students to the institution's inaugural boarding program. Located in Koh Pich, one of Phnom Penh’s fastest growing districts developed by OCIC, it is the only Alberta accredited international school in Cambodia and the first boarding program in Phnom Penh.

The new boarding program will provide parents with a variety of options, ranging from full-boarding to weekly boarding, and will be managed by a qualified team of CIS staff members. It will ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students to increase academic productivity, support an active lifestyle through after-school activities, and develop interpersonal skills through English communication. While addressing the need for such services, CIS cited the long commute times for students and the hectic work schedules of parents as the key motivation behind its decision to provide such services, ensuring convenience and flexibility for its 900 students.

The boarding houses will be offered in the form of Koh Pich's modern villas, located five minutes from CIS, and will feature both private and shared rooms with living spaces crafted to the highest standards of accredited Canadian educational institutions, as well as gated compounds and outdoor space, as well as 24-hour security. The program allows parents to entrust their children’s care to educational professionals with student boarding options of 7-days or 5-days respectively allowing students to catch up with friends and family during school breaks or over the weekends depending on the options selected.

“We are proud to be the first boarding program in the heart of Phnom Penh. CIS is offering a rigorous academic program including a focus in supporting student well-being. The boarding program will be a place where students from all around Cambodia and beyond may learn and thrive together,” stated Leah Dushenski, CIS Head of School.

“The Team and Faculty Members of CIS will continue to develop excellent educational programs to foster a culture of learning, success, collaboration and pride.” Leah added.

With enrollments up and coming soon, parents and students will be welcomed to even greater options as CIS expands its overall services catering to the needs of each and everyone by developing facilities which contribute to the overall development and growth of students ensuring their readiness for higher education by providing quality educational standards with the Alberta accredited curriculum and IB programs ensuring multiple pathways for CIS students whichever they may choose to take in the future. With its location at the heart of Phnom Penh, CIS  boarding houses are one of a kind and they are coming soon with registration running up until the end of May of this year to both existing and new CIS students. Places are limited so it is recommended to sign up soon.
