Phnom Penh (FN), May 24 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen called on all borey owners to tackle poor mobile and cellular services in their respective boreys, speaking at an inauguration ceremony of a new location of the Royal University of Fine Arts, held on Wednesday (May 24) in Phnom Penh.

Samdech urged the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to check a company called Home Internet due to their poor internet and customer services.

Regarding this issue, Samdech also raised communication difficulty with some of his officials who live in boreys.

The premier also called on boreys to terminate exclusive internet provision contracts as being contrary to the spirit of fair competition. He urged all relevant parties to resolve the monopolies and pushed for better internet service in Cambodia.

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has assigned eight working groups to improve the quality of service in boreys in Phnom Penh by cancelling all exclusive rights contracts between borey developers and internet service providers, and has requested cooperation from borey owners to improve service quality.
