Phnom Penh (FN), May 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen confirmed that according to minister of commerce Pan Sorasak, in the first four months of 2023, Cambodia has achieved exports worth approximately USD 7 million. In April alone, the export volume was USD 1.8 million.

The premier spoke on Saturday morning (May 27) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.

The export value in Cambodia’s garment, agriculture and other sectors is increasing, and that we must strive to expand further through putting more efforts in all areas, the premier added.

Samdech underlined that the agricultural sector will benefit more from the added value of our farmers' products.

At the same time, Samdech hoped that all factories, enterprises and investors as well as workers will work together to make factories and enterprises become a peaceful community.

In addition, the premier emphasized that the village-commune safety policy is also a part that must be applied to the factories and enterprises.

Samdech expressed his satisfaction that more than 17,000 enterprises nationwide were established with a total of more than 1.5 million workers. He also requested the employers and the workers to try to resolve any disagreements as soon as possible.
