Kampong Cham (FN), Jun. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen affirmed that all the Montagnards, the Vietnamese rebels who took refuge in Cambodia in the past had left Cambodia.

The premier spoke on Friday morning (Jun 16) during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Kampong Cham province.

"I would like to reaffirm that the Montagnards had left Cambodia. I also order new rebels arrested to be extradited to Viet Nam immediately. They recently committed deadly attacks in Viet Nam. Cambodia does not welcome rebel group," the premier underscored.

Samdech also warned all organizations based in Cambodia from contacting the rebels and strongly warned that if any organizations were found involved with the rebels, they will face dissolution.

According to Channel News Asia, the death toll following gun attacks on two police headquarters in Viet Nam's Central Highlands has risen to nine, including four officers, authorities said on Monday (Jun 12).

Twenty-six people have been arrested in connection with the rare shootings that occurred in the early hours of Sunday in Cu Kuin district of Dak Lak province, according to the website of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Viet Nam.
