Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet recalled the words from Samdech Hun Sen telling him when he was a child: “You [Manet] must not consider yourself as the son of the prime minister, but the grandson of the farmers because your grandparents are farmers.”

The premier spoke during his meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Phnom Penh's Por Senchey district on Tuesday morning (Aug. 29).

"My father always told me at a very young age that I must not consider myself as the son of the prime minister, but I must consider myself as the grandson of the farmer because my grandparents are farmers. I must not forget my birth and need to live with the citizens," Manet underscored.
