Kandal (FN), Sep. 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet said that the Royal Government commits to increase the minimum wages for the workers and salaries for civil servants.

The premier spoke on Friday morning (Sep. 1) during a meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Takhmau city, Kandal province.

Manet mentioned that in 2023, the minimum wage of workers in the textile, garment, footwear, and travel products and bags sectors is USD 200 per month.

On 29 August 2023, Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet also instructed labor minister and the National Minimum Wage Council to discuss minimum wage increase for workers.
