Beijing (FN), Sep. 15 – Pich Chanmony, spouse of Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet, and delegation visited the Great Wall of China on Friday morning (Sep. 15).

Chanmony was warmly welcomed by the Chinese executive team of the national tourist attraction.

This is her first time visiting the Great Wall following her learning of its history, Chanmony told the team. She thanked the Chinese government for organizing this special visit to the Great Wall, the precious history of the country and the people of China.

Pich Chanmony wrote her name and date of her visit on the Golden Book as a souvenir stored in the Great Wall Library.

The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications that were built across the historical northern borders of ancient Chinese states and Imperial China as protection against various nomadic groups from the Eurasian Steppe.
