Takeo (FN), Sep. 19 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet asked some ill-intended analysts to have the spirit of nationalism and praise what the Cambodian people have done in the past.

The premier spoke on Tuesday morning (Sep. 19) during a meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in Bati district, Takeo province.

“I do not want my next generations to lose their identity or be under anyone’s control. I cannot allow such thing to happen. Samdech Techo [Hun Sen] and other leaders also have the same visions,” the premier reacted to some negative analyses regarding his recent visit to China.

“Cambodia is an independent, sovereign state and has equal status with every country in the international arena. […] We negotiate as a sovereign state to protect our citizens’ interests,” the premier continued.
