Sihanoukville (FN), Nov. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet said since he became the prime minister, he is no longer invited to join any social events. He only goes to his bedroom and his office back and forth.
The premier spoke on Tuesday (Nov. 7) during his meeting with more than 15,000 workers in Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province.
"Since the new Royal Government was formed, I only go to the bedroom and the office, and read documents. I am no longer invited to join any social events. Yesterday, after the ceremony at the Ministry of Interior, I signed documents and chaired meeting to solve the tourism sector. Later in the evening, we discussed the tax issue. Once I arrived home, I signed documents and did some tasks until midnight and then went to bed," the premier underscored.
On 22 August 2023, the Cambodian National Assembly granted a vote of confidence to the new cabinet led by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.
