Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Czech Ambassador to Cambodia Martin Vávra on 9 January 2024 at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Martin Vávra thanked Samdech Thipadei for taking the time to allow him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call and discuss work. He also recalled the close and longstanding decades of friendship and cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Cambodia, especially since the 1980s.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet congratulated Ambassador Martin Vávra on his appointment as Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cambodia. Samdech Thipiadei also expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic's congratulatory letter on his appointment as Prime Minister of Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also appreciated the Czech Republic for cancelling Cambodia's debt and converting it into development assistance. He acknowledged the Czech Republic's support through official development assistance and human resource training in Cambodia since the 1980s. Additionally, the premier praised the recent collaboration between the two countries in the fields of information technology, cybersecurity, and agriculture.
