Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Thai Ambassador to Cambodia Cherdkiat Atthakor agreed to enhance bilateral relations, in particular the cooperation and exchange views on multiple sectors such as the enhancement of the national economy and the living standards of the two peoples.

The premier received a courtesy call by the Thai Ambassador to Cambodia on Wednesday (Jan. 10) at the Peace Palace.

Cherdkiat Atthakor thanked Samdech Thipadei for allowing him and his delegation to pay a courtesy call. The ambassador briefed the development of friendship and good cooperation between Cambodia and Thailand in the past. He also reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthen this relationship.

Taking this occasion, the Thai Ambassador thanked Samdech Thipadei for warmly welcoming the Thai prime minister during his official visit to Cambodia in September 2023 and reaffirmed his awaiting to welcome the upcoming official visit of Samdech Thipadei to Thailand.

For his part, Premier Hun Manet welcomed Cherdkiat Atthakor and his delegation as well as thanked them for their commitment to strengthen the Cambodia-Thailand cooperation. Samdech Thipadei also highlighted the progress of cooperation in many potential sectors such as trade, tourism and people-to-people ties.
