Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 8 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that "Hun Family" had no intention of becoming a traitor and would not do anything to deviate from the national interests.
The premier spoke on Thursday (Feb. 8) at the annual meeting of the Ministry of Labour at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.
This statement came after the ill-intended individuals accused Samdech Thipadei of setting up joint exploitation of hydrocarbon resources in the maritime Overlapping Claims Areas with Thailand as "treason".
The premier explained that ensuring energy security is an effort to achieve ownership of Cambodia's energy sector, reduce foreign orders and job creation for citizens, increase revenue in the national economy, and bring many other benefits to the nation.
On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei added that the economic interests and collaborative exploitation do not compromise national sovereignty.
