Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 20 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged the private sector not to recruit individuals involved in drugs.

The premier spoke on Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 20) at the 2023 annual meeting of the NACD at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel.

Cambodia will tighten measures on private sector entities involved in drugs, potentially subjecting them to blacklisting for a specified period, the premier added.

Samdech Thipadei agreed to create a joint database between the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Civil Service, and the Ministry of Justice to share data on civil servants fired from drugs involvement.
