Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 19 – Cambodian Prime Minister stated that the Royal Government aims to establish a model village to enhance the organization of rural villages, alongside the development of infrastructure such as roads, water systems, schools, hospitals, and more.

The Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction is planning to collaborate with relevant ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Rural Development to implement this initiative.

"Model Village” refers to the creation of suitable villages that cater to the general population's needs in terms of living standards, along with the development of essential infrastructure like roads, water systems, schools, and hospitals.

On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet also urged the Ministry of Land Management, the Ministry of Rural Development, and other relevant ministries to comprehensively consider the rural development plan.

Samdech Thipadei added that the new government has introduced several policies aimed at reducing the gap between urban and rural areas, ensuring that there is not a significant disparity between the two in the future.
