Pursat (FN), Mar. 31 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged competent authorities to facilitate the border crossings of Cambodian citizens during the Khmer New Year to ensure smooth and congestion-free process. In addition, please avoid charging additional fees and ensure everyone enjoys celebrating Khmer New Year.

The premier spoke on Sunday morning (Mar. 31) at the inauguration of Preah Botum Stupa at Mony Ratanaream Pagoda in Pursat province.

"For the upcoming Khmer New Year, the competent authorities at the three border checkpoints should collaborate with immigration authorities and specialized ministries such as the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labor to facilitate the border crossings of citizens. Yesterday, I met with the Director General of Immigration, who reported that the necessary mechanisms have already been established, including streamlined checkpoints where citizens can scan without the need for manual sealing. These measures are intended to further expedite the entry and exit processes for citizens," the premier underscored.

Samdech Thipadei urged to ensure that there is no extra charge for various services from the Cambodian citizens, and to facilitate smoothly on the occasion of the upcoming Khmer New Year. In this sense, after celebrating the Khmer New Year, citizens can return to work calmly and joyfully.
