Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 12 – Cambodian Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea received a farewell call by outgoing Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim on 11 April 2024 at the Ministry.

Ambassador Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim was appointed by the Malaysian government to continue his new diplomatic mission as Malaysian Ambassador to France.

During the meeting, Minister Sok Chenda Sophea congratulated Ambassador Datuk Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim for the completion of his successful diplomatic tenure in the kingdom and his new portfolio as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the French Republic, during the latter’s farewell call at the Ministry.

Foreign minister expressed his deep appreciation for ambassador’s dedication and active cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting close cooperation between Cambodia and Malaysia since starting his ambassadorship in 2019, especially his significant contribution to the success of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet’s recent official visit to Malaysia in February. Witnessing the flourishing cooperation in wide-ranging areas, as well as the frequent exchanges of high-level visits, the two sides agreed to maintain such positive momentum.

Lastly, Cambodian foreign minister assured the outgoing ambassador that his successor will receive a wholehearted support and cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
