Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 17 – At the invitation of Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will deliver a special address at the high-level opening of the eightieth session of the Commission to be held in Bangkok on 22 April 2024.

"Accompanying Samdech Thipadei, will be Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, Senior Minister and President of the National Committee for ESCAP Ly Thuch, and Minister of Post and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth, along with key government officials," according to the press release seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Apr. 17).

"Under the theme "Leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific", the annual session will deliberate about the potential of digital technology and ways to strengthen regional cooperation in addressing emerging global challenges and accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals."
