Phnom Penh (FN), May 3 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that his spouse, Pich Chanmony, never interfere in his works, even in minor matters, speaking on Friday (May 3) during the 6th meeting with journalists at Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"My wife has never interfered in my duties, not even in minor matters. So, please do not assume that she is involved in any official promotions. She is happy to help from afar," the premier underscored

According Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Pich Chanmony earned her Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Health Sciences and a Master's degree in Public Health in the United States, followed by a PhD in the United Kingdom. Upon her return, the Ministry of Health invited her to join their team, yet she preferred to assist people directly at the local level. She remains dedicated to public health, focusing particularly on her work with the TYDA Medical Association.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet expressed his appreciation for his spouse's dedication in serving the people and the nation. She tirelessly saved lives during the COVID19 outbreak without hesitation despite the fatigue and dangers involved, the premier added.

The premier also extended his gratitude to citizens nationwide for their support in safeguarding his family amidst baseless accusations from the opposition. He underscored his duty as a husband to defend the honour of his wife and family.
