Seoul (FN), May 18 – South Korea's Hanshin Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. expressed its intention to expand its investment in Cambodia’s financial sector.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call by Choi Yong-Sun, Chairman of the Hanshin Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., on 17 May 2024 in Seoul, South Korea.

During the meeting, the chairman informed Samdech Thipadei about the progress of Hanshin Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd.'s business in Cambodia over the past ten years in the construction and financial sectors. The chairman also mentioned that through their decade-long operations, the company has gained significant insights into doing business in Cambodia and is now exploring further expansion into the financial sector.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed the discussions with the chairman and his delegation, expressing high appreciation for the companies that have invested in Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also thanked the chairman for demonstrating the company's confidence in expanding investment in Cambodia's financial sector. Additionally, Samdech Thipadei confirmed that the Royal Government of Cambodia is prepared to facilitate and support investment and business activities in the country, encouraging companies to continue seeking new investment opportunities.

Hanshin Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. was established in 1950 as housing construction, and went on with architecture, civil works, electricity, and plant businesses, and grew to be one of the most prominent general construction companies in Korea.

Hanshin Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. has played a key role in the construction of national infrastructure by constructing highways, roads, subways, high-speed railroads, and wide area waterworks for the past half a century.
