Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 5 – Additional 15 Cambodian workers in Saudi Arabia returned safely to Cambodia on 5 June 2024, with the support of the Cambodian Royal Government, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, the Foreign Ministry, the Cambodian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, and other stakeholders.

The arrival of the workers was warmly received by the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, with coordination from the airport in Thailand to Phnom Penh International Airport and at the Ministry's office.

Please be reminded that, with the coordination of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and stakeholders, a total of 78 workers have returned to Cambodia. In addition to attending to their food and travel needs, all workers received information about local job opportunities and those near their villages. They also received the opportunity to enroll in Level 1 (C1) technical and vocational training courses free of charge, including a free medical check-up before departure. The workers who have not yet returned are being provided with accommodation, food, and other necessities by the Cambodian Embassy.
