Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 5 – In the first five months of 2024, Cambodia exported more than USD 10 billion worth of main products, an increase of 10.88%, while imports exceeded USD 11 billion, an increase of 13.6% compared to the same period in 2023, according to a report by the Ministry of Commerce.

Cambodia's largest export markets include the United States, Viet Nam, China, Japan, Thailand, Canada, Britain, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Hong Kong, and other major trading partners.

Cambodia's main exports consist of garments and accessories made from fabrics, fruits and nuts, machinery and electrical equipment, footwear, rubber and rubber products, as well as other key commodities.

According to Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Pen Sovicheat, Cambodia's exports are still growing well and orders are continuing, despite a slight reduction. This is attributed to Cambodia's production of essential goods such as clothing, bicycles, agricultural products, and rice, which require continued imports from other countries.
