Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 10 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that the roles and positions of officials are granted by the people, so all officials must embrace their responsibilities.

The premier spoke on Monday morning (Jun. 10) at the closing of 2023 and opening of 2024 training courses of the Royal School of Administration in Phnom Penh.

"Our roles, our opportunities, our institutions, and our ability to serve the people depend on the people's support to create a conducive environment for us and our families in the future," Samdech Thipadei underscored.

Samdech Thipadei underlined that, while the system is not perfect, we must work together to improve it by creating positive actions and achievements and reducing negativity. He added that focusing on these points will help us achieve the goal of becoming a developed country and creating a stable, harmonious environment with reliable public services.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei also reminded public service officials that they are servants of the people, not their bosses, and that serving the people effectively is also self-serving. He also called for consistent, stable and reliable public services for citizens.
