Tbong Khmum (FN), Jun. 20 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet underlined that the celebration of the 47th anniversary of marching towards national salvation reflected a lasting memory that commemorates the heroism of the armed forces and citizens who bravely sacrificed their lives for the nation's cause.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Jun. 20) on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of marching towards national salvation, held in Tbong Khmum province.

"Today, we celebrate the 47th anniversary in the spirit of remembrance, to commemorate the heroism of the armed forces and citizens who bravely sacrificed their lives for the nation's cause,” the premier underscored.

Premier Hun Manet continued that the Royal Government is always grateful for the sacrifices made by all our compatriots. This gratitude is reflected in the annual organization of this Remembrance Day event to honour the parents, siblings, and relatives of those who have steadfastly supported Samdech Techo Hun Sen since the beginning, from 1970 to 1975 and through to 1977.

On that occasion, Samdech Thipadei dedicated his remarks to the souls of ancestors, warriors, descendants, and patriots of all generations who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s cause. Samdech honoured their love for the motherland and their efforts in the nation's resurrection. Through their resistance movement and fulfilment of duties at every stage of history, they achieved numerous great accomplishments for the nation, maintaining peace, sovereignty, national independence, and development.
