Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 27 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that next year will mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Thailand, and the two countries will elevate their bilateral ties to a "strategic partnership".

During the meeting, Thai foreign minister informed Samdech Thipadei that as foreign minister, he will work to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, promote and expand Thai-Cambodian cooperation. He affirmed about his readiness to work closely with the Royal Government of Cambodia for the mutual benefit of the people and the two countries.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei praised the strong ties and cooperation between the two countries, stating that through this good relationship, cooperation between the two countries in many fields has been strengthened and expanded.

In addition, Samdech Thipadei also expressed satisfaction with the Royal Government of Thailand's decision to provide visa waivers for Cambodian workers at the Cambodian-Thai border during the traditional New Year.

At the same time, both sides also expressed their pleasure and appreciation for the establishment of Consulates General between the two countries in Siem Reap and Songkhla to facilitate people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

During the meeting, both sides also discussed strengthening and expanding cooperation in various areas, including economics, trade, people-to-people exchanges, tourism, security, energy, and demining activities.
