Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 27 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet noted that an Australian institute has predicted Cambodia's economic outlook to be more positive than that of other countries in the region.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Jun. 27) at the celebration of MSME Day 2024, held at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Samdech Thipadei stated, "An Australian Institute has just released a report assessing Cambodia's attractiveness compared to 2022 in the Asia-Pacific region. Cambodia's attractiveness has increased sevenfold, indicating significant potential for attracting the fastest-growing private sector in the region—a testament to our success."

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei added that investors assess various perspectives, noting that while some countries have seen declines, Cambodia's attractiveness remains strong. He viewed this as a result of concerted efforts with government officials in the past and believed this positive assessment will further attract foreign investors to Cambodia.
