Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 2 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that over the past 25 years, the population in the four northeastern provinces has been steadily increasing. He urged the people not to be swayed by incitement and to trust the Royal Government, assuring that the land in these provinces, Ratanakkiri, Mondulkiri, Kratie, and Stung Treng, will not be ceded.

Samdech Thipadei underscored, "Those of you who are worried that we are losing our borders should trust that, over the past 25 years, our real achievements on the ground reflect our commitment to strengthening our strongholds. We have fortified our positions and established long-term defences. Our four provinces are enhancing economic ties within Cambodia, and our cooperation with neighbouring countries does not imply any loss of territory or sovereignty. We are not ceding any land or yielding control to anyone."

Prime Minister Hun Manet continued, "For those concerned about the future of the four provinces, please ignore the propaganda and trust the Royal Government. Work together to strengthen our northeastern provinces and continue your support."
