Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 9 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed and strongly supported the upcoming "Gumball 3000 Rally," organized by Gumball 3000, which will take place in Cambodia in September 2024.

The premier received a courtesy call by Maximillion Cooper, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gumball 3000, on Friday (Aug. 9) at the Peace Palace.

Maximillion Cooper expressed his admiration for Cambodia's rich culture, the beauty of its temples, and the prevailing peace in the country.

Founded in 1999 by a British entrepreneur, Gumball 3000 is a renowned brand that focuses on events, entertainment, and the luxury lifestyle.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Gumball 3000 will host the "Gumball 3000 Rally," a prestigious event featuring celebrities from over 50 countries. The rally will pass through Cambodia in September 2024.

This international event will help promote Cambodia’s culture, traditions, and tourism potential, particularly in Siem Reap.

Samdech Thipadei warmly welcomed and strongly supported the organization of this significant international event in Cambodia. He noted that Cambodian authorities and relevant partners are ready to facilitate and participate in the event, emphasizing the warm hospitality of the Cambodian people.

Premier Hun Manet also expressed gratitude to the Gumball 3000 Rally Foundation for its support of Angkor Hospital for Children and its plans to assist sports training schools in Cambodia.

The Gumball 3000 Rally brings thousands of luxury cars and celebrities from around the world, creating an immersive travel experience that spans continents and includes a stop in Cambodia.

The event is scheduled to be held from 15-17 September 2024, in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

This international event has four main objectives: promoting tourism in Cambodia, contributing to charity, creating opportunities for foreign and local private investors to connect, and setting world records.
