The premier spoke on Thursday (Aug. 15) during a meeting with Buddhist priests at the National Institute of Education.

"I have issued a strict order. Previously, I stopped granting gambling licenses and revoked about a thousand existing licenses [...] Our policy is to cease issuing any new licenses," the premier underscored.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei stated that there will be no licenses or permissions granted to open gambling venues in other parts of Cambodia, as these activities negatively impact the livelihoods of citizens.
