Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 16 – Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to Paetongtarn Shinawatra on her recent appointment as Thai Prime Minister.

Your success in obtaining this top position is a testimony to your exceptional leadership and dedication to your nation and people," according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Friday (Aug. 16).

"The close relations and cooperation of our two countries have been further advanced in the spirit of mutual respect, trust, and a commitment to promoting peace and prosperity of our two nations and in the region, particularly our ASEAN Community. As good neighboring countries, we have collaborated on various issues of common interest, and I firmly believe that in your new role as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, you will continue further strengthen our relations in all areas to generate new potential for better cooperation and mutual benefits for our two peoples and nations.

I look forward to closely working with you and the Parliament of the Kingdom of Thailand, particularly the Senate, to further forge the partnership and enhance the cooperation between our governments and parliaments of our two nations.
