Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 20 – The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) is currently being held in Kampot, offering local audiences a chance to enjoy a diverse selection of Japanese films for free at Domra Cinema Kampot. The screenings run from September 20-22, 2024.

Since its inception in 2016, the JFF has aimed to promote Japanese cinema across 10 ASEAN countries, including Australia. The 2023 edition of the festival in Cambodia showcased films that highlighted various facets of Japanese life, society, and culture, giving Cambodian audiences an opportunity to better understand Japan and its people.

This festival is a reflection of the strengthening cultural ties between Japan and Cambodia. More than just a celebration of film, it serves as a platform for meaningful cultural exchange.
