Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 4 – Nearly 1.8 million tourists traveled across Cambodia during the three-day Pchum Ben festival from 1-3 October 2024, according to a report by the Ministry of Tourism seen by Fresh News on Friday (Oct 4).

The Department of Tourism Statistics reported a total of 1,748,986 national and foreign tourists during the festival. This included 37,091 foreign tourists, bringing the overall total to 1,786,077 visitors, or nearly 1.8 million.

The report also highlighted the top five provinces that attracted the most tourists:

1. Battambang Province
* 215,559 national tourists
* 620 foreign tourists

2. Siem Reap Province
* 173,000 national tourists
* 7,893 foreign tourists

3. Preah Sihanouk Province
* 165,595 national tourists
* 4,918 foreign tourists

4. Kampong Chhnang Province
* 153,792 national tourists
* 119 foreign tourists

5. Kampot Province
* 123,330 national tourists
* 578 foreign tourists.
