Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 23 – Hungarian Ambassador to Cambodia Tibor Baloghdi praised the leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and pledged to further strengthen and expand cooperation between Hungary and Cambodia.

Samdech Thipadei received a courtesy call by Hungarian Ambassador to Cambodia Tibor Baloghdi, on Wednesday (Oct. 23) at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tibor Baloghdi commended Samdech Thipadei for his leadership in implementing the political program and the Pentagonal Strategy Phase 1, which has contributed to improving citizens’ living standards and ensuring sustainable economic growth.

Taking this occasion, the ambassador highlighted the excellent and long-standing relations and cooperation between Hungary and Cambodia. He pledged to further strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries. To boost trade and business ties, he vowed to encourage Hungarian investors to explore and expand investment opportunities in the kingdom.

For his part, Prime Minister Hun Manet praised the traditional friendship and close cooperation between the two countries and expressed his appreciation for the effective collaboration between the two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs through exchanges of high-level visits and bilateral consultation mechanisms.

Samdech Thipadei added that the bilateral consultation mechanism between the two foreign ministers will serve to further strengthen and deepen relations and cooperation.

Both sides also discussed advancing cooperation in multiple priority sectors, including trade and investment, health, education, tourism, culture and water resources and irrigation.
