Mondulkiri (FN), Oct. 24 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that the Royal Government is committed to strengthening the nation and advancing its economy, speaking on Thursday (Oct. 24) during the inauguration of O’ Te Dam in Mondulkiri province.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underscored, "The Royal Government has never entertained the idea of surrendering our sovereign territory. On the contrary, we are focused on strengthening our sovereignty, our territory, and our people."
In addition, Samdech Thipadei underlined that the Royal Government can only strengthen the nation by maintaining peace, stability, and unity, promoting regional development, and upholding the law to ensure mutual respect with neighbouring countries.
On the occasion, Premier Hun Manet stated that whether in relations with Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, the United States, China, or other superpowers or smaller nations, Cambodia operates with full respect for sovereignty, independence, and mutual interests.
At the same time, Samdech Thipadei added that concerns about territorial loss due to cooperation in the Development Triangle Area do not come from the people of Mondulkiri, as they fully understand the situation.
Samdech Thipadei underlined that promoting cooperation should not be mistaken for inciting conflict or national division. He also called on the people to work together to preserve the peace and build on the country's achievements.
