Kampong Cham (FN), Oct. 26 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that the education systems around the world are continually updated and modified to keep pace with the ongoing development of society, speaking on Saturday morning (Oct 26) in Kang Meas District, Kampong Cham Province.

Samdech Thipadei underlined that not only Cambodia, but even superpowers need to reform their education systems. The Royal Government of Cambodia, along with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS), has launched a series of education reforms, including curriculum updates and preparation for technology skills competitions.

In addition to focusing on policy programs, strengthening teachers' capacities and retraining them to adopt new teaching methods is equally important.

However, Samdech Thipadei underlined that while some teaching methods for certain skills were reformed, there was a tendency to revert to previous approaches, suggesting that not all methods are effectively integrated.

In this regard, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his appreciation to MoEYS, led by Minister Hang Chuon Naron, for their hard work in reforming education to enhance efficiency and quality. He underlined that the Ministry is currently focusing on students at the grassroots level to build a strong foundation for the future.
