Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 1 – Cambodia generated nearly USD 36 million from ticket sales to the Angkor Archaeological Park, Koh Ker, and Chong Khneas Tourism Port in the first ten months of 2024, according to a press release issued by Angkor Enterprise on 1 November 2024.
During this period, 774,203 foreign tourists purchased tickets to visit the Angkor Archaeological Park and Koh Ker temple, representing a 28.48% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This influx of visitors resulted in a revenue boost of USD 35,987,961, reflecting a 29.07% increase from the previous year.
The Royal Government donated USD 1,548,406 to Kantha Bopha Hospital to help save the lives of Cambodian children.
It should be noted that in 2023, over 790,000 foreign tourists bought tickets to visit Angkor Archaeological Park, earning USD 37,198,988, an increase of 222.68%.
